Best birthday ever!! :) If I'd ever read back my 19 year old self's birthday post, know that I am truly happy and blessed on this very day. Friends staying up late to send birthday wishes to me, some failed and fall asleep, some still do it anyway eventhough they know I would go to bed around 10pm and some trying to keep me awake but it was too late.. hahah.
I woke up with zero expectation for late night birthday wishes but the messages surprised me. It was a schooling day but it was also, a very merry day. The moment I walked into the class, one of them told me, "there's going to be a lot of singing today!!" and true enough, they sang throughout the day for a total of six times already. I din't know how to react, so I was blushing, smiling and trying to hide myself from the crowd but failed..
And the next day, they still continue to sing birthday songs for me eventhough it wasn't my day anymore. Knowing them, it was probably fun for them to watch my reaction every time they do that. hahaha.
They sang so loudly till my class teacher made a sacarstic remarks during assembly the next day, about us singing birthday songs louder than our country songs lol. However, it wasn't a threat to my classmates. HAHAHAH. They said they're going to sing birthday songs loudly again during assembly next Monday and pls don't let it happen.. or else my reputation is a goner.
I felt so grateful to have people in my life who remembers my birthday every year. As I grow up, I've realised that it wasn't the gifts or the celebrations that matters during birthdays. It was the wishes and the effort to make someone's day so much better than the normal ones on their special day. For this, I am blessed.
